Need help finding Storage drive

Thread Starter
As title says I want a storage drive. Preferably a reliable drive of at least 2 gigs for < $100 (lower the better)

I was looking at a external Samsung G3 Station 2TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152313

Which people state contains a Samsung HD204UI/VP4, which seems to be $20 cheaper for this drive:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152245

I do not want seagate (and I know they bought Samsung so this will probably be the last drive from them I buy)

I do not care about speed as this will be to backup my movies, music, software, pictures, etc...

So anyone have a better option ??

I would go with the internal one.I had two external drives. One is an hitachi simple drive, the usb port went bad,but the drive is still good so I internalized it. The second external is such a pain to turn it on and off.

I´d agree on the internal for a bit more.
The external enclosure looks like its prone to failure , If you could open it without breaking a warranty seal it would be worth it .
I always buy an internal drive and enclosure for this reason, you can send one or the other back. .

I just can't justify spending $20 more (20%) for the same drive when I can just open the enclosure. I read the reviews that state the USB adapter is trash, but I don't want to use it as external.

Then you should be fine, like I said, if you can get that enclosure open gently you can still rma later (that is if the drive does fail within the warranty).
Saying that, those F4s do seem pretty reliable , I´ve bought about four for various people with no issues
