They are being shipped with the 7970 PCB and there have been a few lucky ones who have flashed a 7970 BIOS and it showed up with 2048 shaders. I was about it get it but I got my MSI R7950 (the one with one middle fan) for a bit cheaper, which helped offset the cost of the $100 waterblock that I bought for it. wink.gif

I would much recommend the $310AR price point than $400+, you'd be paying $100+ for an extra 3~5% of performance.

I would say slightly more than that if you stick to the stock cooler , 10% maybe. the MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr cooler doesn't seem good enough for 1150+ Mhz speeds . If you get Gigabyte HD 7970 (1 Ghz) your chances of hitting 1250 Mhz with decent temps are pretty good.

But since you are watercooling none of that matters. thumb.gif

Definitely HD 7950 at 1.1 - 1.15 Ghz will perform like a HD 7970 Ghz edition card running at 1050 Mhz. HD 7950 (1.1 Ghz) CF will be enough for maxing out games at 3 x 1080p .

http://techreport.com/articles.x/22890/7

You could post a thread asking users running HD 7950 CF at 1.1 Ghz in Eyefinity 3 x 1080p to post their fps in games like BF3, Crysis 2, Batman AC, Max Payne 3.
