LG 27 inch any thoughts?

Thread Starter
Anyone have any info or thoughts on the LG 27 inch seen here?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005310

I have a coupon code that can bring the price down to like $280 for me. Does anyone know what color the power LED is by chance?

I have nothing bad to say against LG displays, I have used and seen enough to know they are usually pretty solid. I would check Costco before pulling the trigger, if you can go to a store, and see what they have. They have had some really awesome deals on 1920x1080 displays lately, and you get a free 2 year and their crazy good customer service. If they don't have anything $280 for that display isn't bad....

If you want a higher resolution, 2560x1440 the Shims and Catleaps are on sale from the guys on eBay for about $280.

Check the forums for those. Can't get enough of my crossover.

If your going to spend that on a 27 make sure it's 1440. Spend a bit more and get a Korean you won't regret it.

I just went and looked at your sig rig.....

If that is really your system, don't get a 1080p, get a 1440p as we just mentioned. Look up green-sum and red-cap on eBay, they are the two more popular sellers of the Korean IPS 1440p displays. Right now you can get a Catleap or Shimian for $289 shipped.

You can consider this one. LG's new 27-inch IPS7 series. About 300 usd.
