Just ordered an Xornet

Thread Starter
The reason I bought a low grade gaming mouse was because I'm trying to spend as less as possible and it doesn't matter what I buy because anything is an upgrade to my 2 year-old stock dell.

Anyways when I receive the mouse what firmware should I be using? I use low DPI and low polling rate. Vista 64-bit (if those help with anything, I dont even know)

Also I use a steelseries 9HD mousepad

Did you test the shape? I think it is kind of special and wouldnt recommend to buy it before testing it.

I think all the firmwares are an improvement over your old Dell - you probably wont notice the difference among them smile.gif.

You don't need any software, it runs fine without it.

I am using one right now and it is fine, at 2000 dpi it feels great for a cheap mouse.

I have the Xornet and I tried several firmwares for it:
v.50 and v.70: high LOD, but acceptable PCS 1,8-2 m/s PCS
v.72: low LOD and execrable 0.5 m/s PCS
v.73: it doesn't work, the cursor barely moves, tested it on several surfaces
v.75: low LOD, above 0.8-0.9 m/s it just skips or neg accel. occurs. LINK

The mouse likes light coloured pads, like the grey Supermat or the white Artisan Shiden.
It's not for everyone because of it's shape and the sensor's weakness wink.gif
