Im using a premix. I cant get a picture right not because i put the MoBo in a rice bath but that stuff is think!!! its not moving. i rubbed a slightly moist qtip over it and that did something but idk what else to do. Can i put some rubbing alcohol to try to dissolve it?? The one we use at my lab for work drys almost instantly

i have used rubbing alcohol a lot on pc's. removes crap that dont need to be there, even can be used with a soft lint free cloth to clean the tim off you cpu for a re apply.

I wouldn't try it. It is more than likely conductive and would result in a short or two in that area as the original spill seems to cover several connections from various different things. I would wait till you can remove as much as possible from the connections before applying power to it.

I did the same thing with mine before, I got one of those air cans so I just did is grab a paper towel and used the air can to blow the liquid off the mobo catching it with the paper towel. that was the quickest way for me to dry it up. or you wouldnt even need paper towels just go blow the liquids off your mobo. just make sure you do both front and back of mobo to make sure there's no liquid left and get a flashlight to point thru the little spots to check if theres liquid, if there is they would most likely to shine =P

Works good but it leaves a residue, even though it says it doesn't.
