Dual Channel memory architecture

Can I use 2 * 8GB sticks?

You should be ok with 8GiB DIMMs. Memory limitations are more a factor of the CPU than the board and Deneb can handle 8GiB DIMMs.

Theoretically yes.

Some boards are weird though. The MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 for example has issues with 4GB dimms. (likely a limitation of the dated nForce chipset)
