24" 1080p OR 27" 1200p

Hey guys,

I currently have a 24" Samsung B2430HD which is 1920x1080p
I want to have good quality but also bigger would be nice.

I've found a nice 27" 1200p monitor, but I'm thinking since its bigger the pixels would be stretched more so it'd look 1080p quality just a bit bigger?

Is it really worth buying this 27" 1200p and will I get noticeable/much better quality with it in comparison to the monitor I've got now?
Its also HannsG if brand has anything to do with it. Its quite a cheap brand in comparison to Samsung.

I like your style.

But seriously though, I'm only considering this monitor I've found because its a cheap deal.

The pixel pitch will be tighter and image quality better on your current monitor when viewed from relatively close distances. At 2-3 feet the Hanns-G shouldn't have a noticeable "screen door" effect from its larger pixel pitch unless your vision is extremely sharp or your seriously OCD about noticing such things. wink.gif

Can you share your cheap deal on the Hanns-G?

So for quality I'd be better off as I am with this 24"?

How big would the difference in quality be?
Considering my eyes are about 2 foot away from the screen.

And sadly its a .co.uk website so it would be no use to you, sorry frown.gif

Your 24" Sammy most definitely would have better image quality. Again, the tighter pixel pitch will be the driving factor - .276 vs .309 (for the Hanns-G) will mean a sharper, cleaner image. That's not to say the Hanns-G is going to have a crap image - you just need to sit about another foot away from it than you do your current monitor. If its a good enough deal I wouldn't dissuade you from buying it.
