AMD Phenom II X6 1090t Overclocking - Page 4

Hello, I found something else new, I swtiched a fan on my modded heatsink and it was much cooler in general, but still has core 5 cutting out, so I bumped the voltage to 1.384Volts The thing Ive noticed is the one fan on my heatsink that has not so good bearings makes a little whine. That fan is spliced with another fan into the mobo's cpu fan header. Now the interesting bit is that when I start prime95, i can actually hear the fan slow down a tiny bit. Is this something I should worry about?

Have you taken a note of what RPM the fans are running at?

I cant do that because I spliced them in, they have no monitoring wire. Also, in SpeedFan i noticed it shows my +12V at 9.59 while prime95 is going, is that a bit low? I have a 600watt PSU, its not the best tho...

Another weird thing, is with the swtiching of this one fan, and adding another that is about an inch above my graphics card, blowing away from the graphics card across the VRM, my cpu temps are amazing now, they dont want to touch 50degrees celcius under full load for 10 minutes so far.

The 12v rail is sometimes buggy with software.



Mine shows 8.02 in HW monitor. Check the BIOS for the actual value. Mine is 12.08.

Wow, with my temps not wanting to hit 50, I'm almost tempted to try to reach 3.9 or 4.0GHz. I'll leave it prime95 for about an hour, thats about as long as I ever test anything (im way too impatient to go for 24hours and things like that). I'll let you know if I encounter any problems. Okay, already something happened, I'm sitting here and its chugging away at about 49 celcius, and boom it goes up and up and up to 54 celcius, in a matter of 10 seconds.

And strangely enough, in HW monitor, my 12volt is 4volts tongue.gif
