SSD + Laptop

Was wondering if you can put an SSD into the hard drive bay(slot?) like a normal laptop HDD. Or do you have to use the little USB connection cable included in the laptop upgrade kits? Is the connector just for transferring data or is that how you have to use the ssd itself?

Also, if you guys could, please suggest a good 240g SSD for: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152349

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-233-291 Is the one I was looking at, but i'm just going off of a friends suggestion right now.

Thanks alot for the help guys, and sorry for such a beginner question.

The kit is made just for transferring information [i.e. if you wanted to clone your drive, etc.]

Yes you can use it in the normal hard drive slot

The Crucial M4's and Samsung 830's are fairly inexpensive for 256GB drives [with sales you can find them in the $175 - $200 range], they will both perform very well [with the Samsung 830 being a bit quicker]
