Games aren't just about graphics. Are ubisoft saying that current gen consoles lack of processing power is hurting their ability to write a proper game, with decent controls?

Who would have ever thought that Ubisoft would actually make a statement that the game community agrees with...talk about mind flip.

However, the stagnation in consoles has really been annoying me as of late. It isn't just about graphics. It is also really holding back physics, multiplayer maps, or basically anything that needs memory and processing power ...plus I am hoping for a controller with a couple more buttons on it so the PC version can actually make use of more than six hot keys.

come on guys the number one game on pc is league of legend!can any freaking tell me why ubisoft would need next gen ?more player?just use microsoft donnybrook!more stable? just use w8 dctcp, you want your game to take less we ressource?just use microsoft remote differential compression?(90kb)no sadly there are no reason ubisoft would need new, be it on pc or console!but they will need to start properly when they make a game.they cant just use third party stuff ignore ms till publishing time, then ask microsoft for fix because they didnt bother to call ms or apple first gees!i see countless game on windows mobile and almost none have issue, but they probably all called ms first to start their base properly!

it is sad to see a big corp like ubisoft trying to manipulate opinion.they cannot even max out todays and they want tomorrow?wow

generally pc only games look bad, because the majority of computer hardware is low end. generally the only good looking games are also on consoles

Lol @ Ubisoft.

Sorry, didn't know graphics equaled creativity. I thought it was story, design, innovation, etc. Thanks for clearing that up Ubisoft thumb.gif

As for WoW or anything else by Blizzard or Valve, name some other AAA games that sold more than every console (Not combined, but outsold 360 and PS3) or massive units. Nothing else really comes even close, BF is the closest to a great selling PC game although Skyrim would come close.
That doesn't mean PC gamers wouldn't go out and buy a PC exclusive, pushing game from some companies, but the likeliness isn't anywhere nearly as high as consoles. They need to take more risks but it isn't going to happen.

I must've missed the crysis flagship bandwagon

And as for PC sales?

come on i use 5770 with a i5 2500k,it is about the power next gen graphic will have when it come out,i am set at 1080i and graphic looks good.the main issue often is the color coding, sharpness etc etc etc
most of us are badly adjusted.getting information on how to set your computer if you go 1080i ycbcr?most dont even know what it is!lol!there are countless setting like this in window 7 and if one is wrong you are screwed like some video are in 4.2.0 some are in 4.4.4 there is no autodetect etc this alone often screw quality looks!this is why often on console it looks better!
