I was running over 70 C for 5 minutes and the fans still weren't on full speed. I'm planning to ship it back tomorrow.

yeah, then a RMA is a good thing to do.. are you using the Express RMA?
secure the new unit via credit card and when they get your old one, the credit
comes back..

that'd be quicker, if they honor the return. Corsair usually wants to deal
direct with you as the *STOP* message in the kit directs you to. for speed
Corsair then will ask for a reseller return..
