Razer Tiamat 7.1 USB power always on?

Hey guys so I just recently received my Razer Tiamat 7.1, I am still playing around with it, putting it to the test if you will. So far so good, Im not hearing the famous buzzing if you dont have them doing anything. Well I have a question for people that owns this product, I was wondering if your Tiamat stays lit or powered on even after you shut down your computer? Or if its safe to leave it just lit. My razer onza controller does the same thing too, it stays powered on. When I left the controller in for 4 days it messed up my motherboard, it wont turn on and had to reset the bios. Thanks in advance =)

Sounds like a defective PSU / Rail. When you shut down your computer, it is supposed to shut everything down save BIOS functionality for timekeeping. Its definitely not supposed to keep a device powered up. I would try using another PSU and see if the issue still persists... if so, could be a bad motherboard.

Cool thanks. Though the ONLY devices that stays powered on are my Razer Onza and Razer Tiamat. I have other divices too that is powered through USB such as my new xbox360 pc controller that replaced my onza. And every other devices connected powers down normally. So I usually just yank off the USB power on my Tiamat. Anybody else that owns a Tiamat?

Maybe its some motherboard feature that allows things like an Ipod to be charged while the PC is off. Don't know if it actually is but its a possibility.

It's normal for it to stay on.

If your mobo does not support hot USB ports (meaning always have power) then you should be worried, it isn't like you have a cheap mobo or anything. Im looking up the specs but I donte see anything that mentions that feature. What board are you using exactly?
