I will post pictures later tonight or tomorrow for the rad though. smile.gif

if you're gonna wait to put some more paint on that rad, just make sure to give it a light scuff, especially around the edges and creases. will help alot with durability

I finally got it out and the good thing is the c-clip is magnetic, so I just put this magnet right next to it and it caught it before flying anywhere far. thumb.gif I was able to successfully paint one GT, but there was a little paint build-up on 2 blades, so I'll have to fix that later on. It looks really great otherwise.

My rad looks wonderful and I'm going to let it dry until tomorrow before doing anything else to it.

Yeah I already did the final spray, but I gave it some light sanding beforehand and inbetween coats. The contrast between the black fins and white body looks amazing! Will be posting pictures after I transfer them to my computer.

Here we go:

Prep work done:

Here's my ghetto makeshift stand. biggrin.gif

First coat, as you can see some parts of the black still show:

Here's the second coat:

Third coat:

Final coat:

Some pictures of the finished paint job, going to let it dry for 24 hours. There are some imperfections, but for a first time job, it doesn't look too shabby. wink.gif

Prep work for GT:

I did 2 coats per side and it seems pretty good. Back side was painted with the Intel CPU box and then front was painted with a tissue dowel.

Thanks for selling me the radiator! thumb.gif

I finally got the dye all flushed out of the rad, but I didn't know dye was that strong. It actually stained the barb and plug of my drain line a very dark blue. My res is slightly stained as well, but it came off easily. The water itself was just a very very faint blue though and my pump and blocks were not stained at all. It's just weird how all the dye accumulated into the drain line despite having no water pressure going that way.

After experiencing that, I may just stick to solid white tubing and using Mayhem UV Clear/Blue dye since it does not stain. It would be awesome to see the water in the res go from clear to UV Blue with a flick of a switch. biggrin.gif

If you have dye stuck on fittings, put them in a cup of white vinegar for ~1 minute and it'll all be gone. thumb.gif
