RICE GRAIN size thats all ya need buddy, let the heat sink and pressure spread it out for you ya, it'll do all the work, unless you have direct touch heat pipe cooler which you don't


Stock cooler was doing fine at stock temps, it's really better than what they ship with the new intel chips.

AS5 is alright, Just put a small amount on the centre of the CPU. Place the Silver Arrow on the chip and push it onto the processor to see how it seals the impurities between the CPU/Heatsync.
Screw it down as tight as you wish.. The tighter it is, the better the contact between the Silver Arrow and the CPU. thumb.gif

Don't be scared, because you'll see the board bending.. When it gets to that stage i'd advise you to stop..

EDIT: I had my Hyper 212+ tightened as tight as I could on my EP45-UD3P which is fine. I'm actually selling it currently

Yes the new amd heat sinks are not too shabby specially when lapped on a lapped dual core but, on a 125 watt SIX CORE with max of 62c it's SERIOUSLY pushing it.
