The way some rads are manufactured, there can be some flux debris inside from any welding. A modern rad like the AX series probably is clean, but you should really check it.

Yes, new rads should be be flushed out because of all the manufacturing contaminants. Process of building rad uses Flux as an anti-oxidizing agent when they are soldering, it is a jelled acid that has to be cleaned out along with any other bits of solder and debris. We usually pour a vinegar solution in the new rad and let it sit for a while, then flush it out with clean warm to hot water making sure that there are no more contaminants left. Hope this helps, I would suggest an early flush-out of everything soon. thumb.gif

Hi,
Just posting a quick thanks !
The thread finally pushed me to get the case, it arrived yesterday smile.gif
I've built it running on air for now, but I reckon it has to be the best ITX case for Watercooling too.
My only anxiety was the PSU sizing, I cant understand why Fractal have limited the range of options that will fit. They have left a 20mm gap to the right of the PSU that they could have moved it over and then any modular PSU would fit. It turned out my Corsair NX620 did fit with less than 1mm to spare between the 7970 GPU. Fans are running quiet and low speed with the GPU fan the noisiest thing.
Cheers !

Good to hear! and yeah, not sure why the gap is so big. It only needs to be big enough for the plug to fit (while inserted).

On a side note, I still haven't put the lid on my case yet lol.

I just thought of something; now that Martin's closing down his site, will he keep all of the benchmark info and just post it on some forum like here?

If he already has posted it on OCN I missed it since I don't go into the WC section all that often.
