Even though I have technet... I don't see myself wasting time trying Win8. There's about 3 pros and about 500 cons in my opinion.

i dont know about con,but w7 is good enough for average joe!for industries it is a different mather just dctcp alone is worth the price.the idea of everything accelerated is nice but we almost have no 64 bit game all almost are 32 bit, silverlight itself is 32 bit google call is 32 bit !i mean come on it is all fine and dandy to say upgrade but sadly nobody need to upgrade.nope not even xp user, even tho this is aimed sololy at xp user!

Will stick with my W7 x64 HP thank you very much!!!

Tried the RC,and quite frankly hated it,it was fast at certain things, but it felt so unintuitive to me.

Hmm, that seemed fast. Looking forward to this. 8's efficiency over 7 is very well appreciated on my laptop.

As much as I loathe Metro on the desktop and the absence of a dedicated start button, I'm looking forward to Win 8. The increase in speed is rather significant and it will surely run faster than Windows 7.

A simple 5 minute fix of downloading a start button mod and command to boot right to desktop is all it takes (at least for me) to ignore Metro.

Will be a neat trick,as I read they have removed the code for the start button altogether

I'm expecting to get my disc within the next few weeks. I may hold off from installing for a year like I did with Windows 7.

Do want. Can't wait, Microsoft has done a phenomenal job, and I'm not resistant to change:P
