I wish they'd not force Metro on desktop users. I wonder if OEMs will charge you more or less to "downgrade" from Windows 8 lol.

I personally liked the shift to metro. Took a while to get the hang of it but in the end was a welcome change. The start menu has been around for over 15 years now and understandably a complete change hasn't been well received by loyalists. However, we all have to move on to something new and sure while there are a few kinks that need to be ironed out, particularly in the music and mail apps (which will probably be addressed in the retail version), the OS shows a lot of promise. Love the speed improvements and use of lesser resources

My RAM (4GB) is at 22% usage with the OS on idle. Windows 7 used about 30% on idle.

people shouldnt worry about the metro ui, if there is a big upriseing about it im sure there will be a optional patch for desktop pc to not use it
