Using a 3TB drive

Thread Starter
I'm picking up the Seagate Barracuda 3TB for my next rig some time next week, and was looking for some clarification on how to use a 3TB drive in windows. I have seen several explanations, and what I understand is that all I have to do is, when I install windows, format it in the GPT filesystem. Is this correct?

I have it filled out. How do I add it to my sig? Also, I'm getting win7 ultimate x64, and the asus rampage iv extreme which I think is everything that would affect this question.

As long as you aren't booting from it you will be fine. A 3tb unlocking software should come with your mobo
