In my TJ08b-e case, I have one of the 200mm phobya radiators. in the front of the case is the highly acclaimed ap181 fan. I want to do p/p on this radiator, but it only came with proper mounting hardware for one of the 180mm fans. The other mounting plate will leave small gaps on all four sides of the 180mm fan... which would drive my perfectionist self nuts.
So my question is, which should I say effit, get another ap181 and either just use the weird mounting plate or buy this second set of mounting plates, or should i get a 200mm fan for the pull side of the radiator? if I should get a 200mm fan, which is best for on this radiator? I was considering the Bitfenix Spectre Pro. The downside to this is I have found that different fans on the front and back of a radiator sometimes make noise due to the blades spinning at very different RPMs.
edit: also these NZXT fans look good...
Would anyone who is wanting to use 200mm fans on their phobya want to trade their 180mm fan mounting bracket for my 200mm bracket so we can both have matching brackets? (worth a try)

new issue:

BUMP! mo updates mo problems.

i cant fit the fan on the radiator in the front of my tj08b-e... the motherboard panel keeps it from sliding all the way in. right now i have it just sitting on the other side of the radiator in pull, but not attached.

very sad i am

to get this to work, i am going to either have to cut the motherboard panel, replace the front fan, or remove the front fan altogether (replace with a sheet of plastic cut out in the shape of the fan, but only like half a CM thick)

in case anyone has any input. i dont want to put a 50cfm fan on the front of the case in push, because the fan on the back of the radiator is 166cfm and much higher static pressure, so i assume the pull fan will force the push fan to spin faster than the motor is pushing it and either burn it out of break the bearing. so i am thinking i am going to have to make a spacer and take the push fan out altogether.

PS: i got the fan that the guy who helped me before recommended, and it is absolutely phenomenal. installed it in my TJ08b-e which only had the stock front fan and a GT15 on the back, and it is quieter than both. i am not sure how this thing is rated at 36db... theres just no way it is that loud...

plus i got it to fit with all four screws. just had to pull it a little. the fourth screw hole was like half way covered by the fan so it wasnt even that bad of a stretch and the thing is running perfectly.

i personally use the nzxt fan. for 1300rpm its nearly silent and it move more air then any of my other fans in my comp. its pretty insane. the mounting hardware for the fans on the 200mm rad suck major ass. and the nzxt will only fit i believe 3 out of 4 holes if u angle it right but it seals nicely.

if you were in the Washington area i wouldnt mind trading u brackets lol.

hope this helps

now if that is the case, do we have any idea what fans the rad bracket was designed to work with? lol

i dont know if i could live with a fan that is only attached on three corners. i would probably dream about it every night. although all the reviews on that fan are pretty good...

lol ya the fan rules. but as u can see on my pic it doesnt mount correctly. could just be my plate who knows id have to see another to try it but in my case it doesnt work right.

Where you located Skoobs?? I have the Radiator and I dont use either of brackets. I made my own custom plenum to mount 2x120mm fans, Akasa Vipers to be exact. PWM FTW
