Logitech G9 Repair - Solved

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, I have a g9 gaming mouse, a gift from my girlfriend a couple of years ago, and I love it tongue.gif

However it fell from my desk some weeks ago and while it still works the weight holder Is loose,

I called Logitech repair number but they seemed amazed I wanted to repair my mouse instead of buying a new one.... A bit strange since it's only a broken bit of plastic and it works fine just makes me mad flooping around the weight bracket. And the fact it's not exactly cheap...

Have any of you had a logitech mouse or keyboard repaired? Do you know if they do it?

Many thanks, and sorry for my late reply wink.gif,

I can´t RMA it the fact it´s broken it´s my fault I dropped it, and she bought it about I believe....3 years ago if not more....

If it could be repaired for less than the cost of a new one that would be fine by me, but the person that talked to me on the phoned said they didn´t do that.....He sounded very young so... he could not be fully aware of a repair service or something.

I don´t really know how much is a new one, but I´d be happy to pay the repair on my mouse.....

I´ve googled what "/thread" means, and all I got is close thread.
1 - I can´t close nothing, I belive in OCN only moderators can. (correct me if I´m wrong)
2 - This thread is in the right section and sub section, it´s a legitimate question, and it´s been asked with all the politeness so no problem there.
3 - I only started this question because it´s a minor annoyance, and I really don´t want to spend 70-80 euros on a new mouse because this one has a broken 5 cent piece of plastic.
4- I didn´t ask if I should buy a mouse, the question was if anyone has used or knows if logitech repairs stuff like mouses or keyboards.

So is it the shell or is it the mouse itself? Hopefully it's the shell and you can just buy a new replacement or try the other shell.
You will probably get a 50% discount code at the logitech shop if you ask them to replace it or something smile.gif
That's what I got on my old G5, but I think the price in the Logitech store is twice the price in a third party seller anyways.

Thanks Nufon, going to check that store 50% discount, the damage it´s on the weight tray, more precisely on a bit of plastic on the weight tray, but that piece makes a huge difference as it´s the piece that locks the tray in place .

Many thanks for the help ! thumb.gif
