I have the UP4 and a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ in push/pull and it fits fine. Also I have 16GB of Crucial Ballistics ram ($45 for 2 x 4GB). Granted this isn't a huge or expensive HSF but it works pretty good. The extra fan just barely clears the ram but it does. It keeps my 3770k at 78 C max load on CPU package and 84 C on hottest core in IBT at 4.4GHz and 1.175 vcore. All in all I was impressed for a $25 cooler biggrin.gif.

Nice board, still expensive rolleyes.gif
I was wondering if the UP5 TH (or the UD5H) supports a decent oc on the Xeon E3-1245V2
What do you think it will be the maximum you can get (with the turbo, 4 bin and a small bclk bump)?

No one knows if the E3-1245V2 or better the lower tdp model E3-1240V2 (without integrated graphics) can bump its multiplier from 34 to 41-43 like the "non K" i7 3770?
Would it be possible then to get (with a105 bclk) a 3770 like clock of 4.3Ghz full load oc (and up to 4.5Ghz running on two cores) with the UP5 TH? confused.gif

Hi there, going to be buying the UP5, plan is for over clocking and building a hackintosh so the recent Gigabyte boards seemed the best bet. Was deliberating between the UD5H, UP4 and UP5 when I came across and read Sin's excellent review. Helped make my mind up, so wanted to say thanks smile.gif

Well, I did decide what to order and did it right away. biggrin.gif I went for the Crucial Ballistix (2x4GB) RAM like Skyhigh suggested, For the cooling I went for the Noctua NH-U9B SE2 which I came across when looking for the fan Skyhigh suggested. The reviews look prommising. I will try to post some pictures when the package arrives.

Thnx for all the info thumb.gif
