For any of you looking for modded BIOS with Intel ROM (for TRIM support in RAID) they are available over at TT.
Firing up my new UP4 this morning now that all the leak testing is done on the loop, and will be flashing the modded F9b and hoping to preserve my SSD RAID 0.

Ah, OK. I was just running it stock on air cooler, worked fine the first day then this happened. Hopefully the RMA goes smoothly.

Got my UP4 installed. I have been unable to get Qflash to work at all. I can open Qflash either from boot or in the BIOS, but once in it will not even try to read from a drive, or save to a drive. period.
I had to update the BIOS using @bios. Currently running F9b modded with Intel ROM for my SSD RAID setup and still no joy with Qflash. This is a first for me, Qflash has always worked with any Gigabyte board I have had.

that is the oddest thing. So you go into advanced mode and then press F8 right????? Have you tried another USB stick? Or maybe another BIOS version? Because I am using the UP4 here without that issue.

Well here's the weird thing. Now my UD5H is doing the same thing. I've ruled out KB so I don't know what's up. I swapped the UD5H back into my main rig and in the process of getting the other rig back up with the UP4.
It's just strange, I even started getting a bunch of restarts with my UD5H, I NEVER had problems with this before. There is some piece of hardware, somewhere in this rig that the boards don't like but danged if I can figure it out.

I needed more USB headers so like I say I put the UD5H back in my main rig. I like it way better than the UP4 anyway, I guess I should have got the UP5. Oh well when Haswell comes maybe I'll go back to a higher tier board than the UP4. For what it is it's OK, I guess.

Just wondering... can the blue strip on the heat sinks be removed / peeled off?

Have you tried a new USB stick?
