Just kidding. What have you done to analyze the problem?

well as of now. I've tried several versions of cpuz. I also realized that none of cpuid programs are working on my system as of now, the error i get in cpuz is 0x102 which i'm lead to believe is some type of timeout error. when i tried HWmonitor it failed to load also. i used ccleaner and tried start up repair utilities which failed. I really am trying to avoid reinstalling windows as that would mean a lot of data migration. Unfortunately that's starting to look like my only option. the bios settings are all stock... i tried playing with the power saving states to see if that would help and no dice.

EDIT I derped the error is 0x102 not 205... i'm not sure where that came from

Registry cleaning utilities do more harm than help. Did you make a clear Windows installation for this board at all? What was your previous board?

Windows pro tip. Keep all you data out of system drive/logical drive. This way Windows reinstallation + installation of all the necessary programs takes under 2 hours.

ah. yeah see thats what i thought about the cleaner programs but i was tired and desperate frown.gif as for the second part no... i was hoping to avoid it.... i know that it's probably the cause of all my issues. Normally i wouldn't have done it but i wasn't exactly planning on the os staying there... the intent was to get an ssd to put it on but i ran out of funds for it before i could jump on a deal.
i had an asus 7zz pro/tb that kicked the hell on me and i said to hell with asus... if i have to reinstall then i have to reinstall.. my own fault really. i was simply hoping to be able to avoid that obviously.

edit with a small update. my computer just restarted it just takes it like close to 20 minutes or something... i think i'm even more confused now

I do a lot of benching and have plenty of spare rigs sitting around and dozens of Drives with OS's on them, and I almost never have to re image just from going from one machine to the next unless it's from Intel to AMD or reverse.

Opens all my programs fast and gaming is amazing with my 7870! I'm upgrading my GPU probably in April to something with more performance and more gains in gaming.

Let's us know how Intel handles the RMA process for you? I'm in California and deal with Intel daily! They've taking good care of me over the last past 5 years! thumb.gif

will keep you informed, i have been told over the phone there shouldnt be any worries, just the wait which will be about 2-3 weeks thumb.gif

well wickedout the RMA went through smoothly. recieved a phone call yesterday from one of intels thai distributers that they cant give me a 2600k so instead they are giving me a 3770k which should arrive with in a week. i hope i get a nice chip that can do 5GHz on air and run super pi LOL

never got to try the 3570k as my wife stole it lol.
