I still prefer high Efficiency in Mem tweak.

no just some manufacturer backlash. As if.

A6? A6 code is not A6 code it is Ab, and Ab means you arein the BIOS, if you don't have video it could be because of where you are plugged into, if you are plugged into the board but have a dGPU then it will of course do Ab lol.

Check out "Jim and Nance" not even a verified owner, just asrock or asus marketing.

The dude couldn't have owned the board more than 1 week, and here is what he says to say as cons:

"Cons: a. WiFi/BT card has detection problems in the number 2 and 3 PCIe x16 slots.
b. 3-way SLI or CF is limited to x8/x4/x4.
c. EFI is very slow to respond.
d. Advertised headphone amp is not really a true amp, more like software gain control. In fact it distorts volumes and introduces additional hiss into the audio output.
e. My biggest problem is that the board will no longer POST after installing a GSKill DDR3-2666 16GB kit. Even switching between F3/F4 BIOS results in the same B7 code and the board refusing to POST with a i7-3770K or 3570K. At this point it needs to be returned.
f. The extra USB 3 port use a VIA hub and you cannot populate all the ports at the same time or they revert back to USB 2."

a. Wifi/BT card isn't supposed to be put in to the PCi-E 16x slots, his tech level is just a joke. Its a freaking 1x card and detects just fine on mine.
b. 3-way SLI isn't even supposed to be capable, but why did you buy the board if you already knew this you idiot.
c. EFI isn't slow, it depends on your mouse, and he also said you can't manually input numbers, he must not have tried actually typing in numbers. Unlike ASUS ROG UEFI, all settings on the GB can be typed in.
d. The advertised headphone amp is actually an amp, the dude is ******* retarded as ****, most likley djayness.
e. A B7? He must be high.
f. that isn't true, i have populated all of them.

I honestly think his post is that of a an ASrock employee asking their 10 year old "prodigy" to write a review on a board they never had. I pick asrock because their marketing has more money to spend than the two companies above them, oh and they are also the biggest liars and technically retarded, since when is analog = to digital? Just making up memory code errors isn't going to get past us who work with the boards a lot. B7? LOL B7? LOL. I have never seen B7, if you are going to make **** up you might as well try and do some little research first. B7 lol, not all UEFI POST codes will give the same codes when they have the same error. For instance M5E will give "55" when memory wont work, GB will do 15 or 51 if memory doesn't work. Neither does B7. lol. Maybe that is ASRock. Also who in their right mind, would think a POST code display can give letters like B, B would look like 8, and look much more like 8 than a B.

Sin, you're too much man! Thanks for clarifying. I can't wait for my board, and I plan on giving a glowing review biggrin.gif. Gah, this gives bad rep to the board, and on one hand it helps those that know about its potential and keeps it to a select club, on the other, it might detract Giga from continuing such advances on the UD5 and UD4 series boards D:

I hope this club ( I saw a review by an OCN member on there) adds more positive reviews to it, bleh. Can't believe this bs.

i mean it just sounds so staged. you might have some of those issues if you don't set it up correctly.

You have to know that memory needs to have XMP set, however if you just put in modules and the system wont work then something is up.

For the wifi/bt card you have to follow the instructions exactly as they are provided including driver installation order and such.

The Z77X-UP5 is a good board, i really like it, it seems to OC memory slightly better than the UD board but that could be because of improved topology, every new Z77 board will have its trace routing better optimized and such. I just wish Intel would keep a platform longer than a year, that way we would have third revision boards like the X58A platform saw some of the best boards electronically because of how long it was out, it gives more time to engineers. Notice that the verified owners reviews are all good and one guy who got a DOA board gave it 1 out of 5 and another guy who can't figure out how to hook up a monitor also gave it 1 out of 5, it is just stupid ass newegg reviews. They really should somehow test the tech level of the reviewers instead of letting them chose, because most of them are idiots. I don't really care about the newegg reviews tho.

I love this board, absolutely no problems so far all USB functioning properly. I will be adding a MSI 7950 twin frozr shortly (fastest card that will fit in my case 10.5 limit and run eyefinity ). Hopefully they will play nice. Loving the audio, no hiss in my senn 598's or in Klipsh pro media 5.1 running 24 96/192 DVD audio's sound beautiful.

OH WOW! lol i didn't see that. I didn't post that there, infact i feel bad for that guy, because it makes him look dumb. But yea i don't ever post newegg reviews on GB products that I have had in for review, I have an ethics standard.

However one more thing about VLI810, it has been in use sine P67A-UD7 and no one complained about USb 3.0 issues back then like they are now, which means a lot of the issues are Intel related. It dawned on me last night, in the past GIGABYTe and ASUS had both used VLI810 on their UD7 for Z68, P67 and M4E.
the USb power draw thing should basically be shutdown, like GIGABte should set it to off in BIOS or soothing if that is possible, because it doesn't mean your USb ports are burnt. Burnt motherboard will smell up your entire room, it doesn't require one to open a case to smell. That is an issue, and very odd too because it is a new one, but the worst part is, there isn't really an issue just Intel going nuts about GB's 3x usb power thing.
