Hey guys I need to build a HTPC for my folks that is capable of playing 1080pi to a 50 inch tv (hdmi is preferred) ,And im a bit iffy on the specs because everyone can go overkill , Thats what i love about being a overclocker but saving money where i can would be nice just asking for some suggestions.

This is what i have and i know its overkill , Thats why im here -_-

You could use a lower watt power supply if money is an issue, but that looks great.

Why not go m-atx or even mini-itx? That would IMO be a better choice, when no GPU is needed biggrin.gif Also a lower wattage higher quality PSU would also be a better choice smile.gif I'm considering building a HTPC, and I will be using this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151035

I may be missing something but what about your storage? Do you have hard drives from another build?

Looks good. You can save a little by going AMD if you wanted. I have the Silverstone LC20 case which is very similar and love it. Not as nice as the GD0* series, but you save ~$100 going with the LC series.

Agree with the others, you can save a good $20-30 or more with dropping to a 330-430w PSU.

The CX430 is $40 ( -$30 from the price of yours ) and will run just about any single graphics card build you throw at it. Not that you'll need a graphics card, but would allow for that expansion if you wish later on. My i3 2120 runs everything fine on the integrated graphics though.

Also love the Samsung 30nm ram which is no higher than the clips that hold it in, super low profile, overclocks well if you want. And 2x2gb packs can be had for $25 usually ( -$4 less than the corsair you have picked ).
