Which mouse would you recommend for me, I am a palm grip gamer
Bare in mind that the Deathadder Black Edition 3.5G costs $55(AUD), and the G700 costs $75

Two totally different mice...

The G700 is for MMOs and the DeathAdder is for FPS games.

I've had a G700 and a Naga, however, and the Naga was the better choice of the two.

Hey may I ask you why you say the naga is better? You obviously used the naga first I'm guessing, do you think its because you were used to the nage or the naga is just straight up better, I was thinking about getting a mmo mouse for gw2

I actually own a Deathadder Black Wired right now, and I use it for all my games. It's a great mouse, especially with the driver options for DPI and Polling Rate.

Whaa?

The G700 is a wireless mouse taking some cues from the older (and beloved as far as I'm concerned) G7, you may be crossing it with the G600 which is similar to the Razer Naga. Plus, for all intents and purposes, just because a mouse is tweaked to be more convenient in use for an MMORPG (such as the G600 / Naga) does not mean it's a terrible mouse for any other genre. At the end of the day, the user is what determines how to best use his mouse. Just because Razer or Logitech.. or says OMG-MADE-FOR-X, doesn't mean it's only good for that.

Onto the OP, I've used a regular DeathAdder 3.5G and the G700, and really.. it just comes down to comfort. Your best option is to see if a store near you carries both and just see how they feel in your hand. Heck, if you know a friend that owns one or the other, ask them too. My personal opinion, and choice was the G700 over the DA just because it was wireless and was heavier, the latter is a huge positive for me and the former is just another perk. smile.gif

Happy hunting!

I used the G700 first and then moved into the Naga.

I think the Naga is better because it has more buttons and they are made to be more easily accessible. I have found that it also glides better, isn't heavy, and feels more accurate. However, I have never tried it, but the G600 looks like a great answer to the Naga since it copies the set up and looks to be a bit more comfortable for larger hands. I have big hands and after 2 hours my hand will start to hurt pretty badly. Whereas with my cheap-ass Cooler Master Xornet I don't seem to have quite the same issue for longer sessions.

EDIT: In response to the G700 not being made specifically for MMOs...it has acceleration issues and isn't quite as accurate as other mice for the same price. I don't prefer it for FPS games as I have had a better experience with an OCZ Equalizer and a Cooler Master Xornet over it (sub-$30 mice). It was pretty nice for MMOs, but the button set up made things more difficult IMO.

I have the G700 and I do recommend it as mine is perfect for me smile.gif

One thing maybe worth noting is the fact that the G700 has been improved since launch!
My first one that I did have to RMA had slightly stiff function buttons, but my new one is perfect imo.

Another thing about the G700 is the sensor placement! It's placed about 3/4 the way up the mouse.
And for me, it's better than having the sensor in the middle. As it means I control the mouse more with my finger tips and not palm!
The other thing that they have improved is the time between charges! Mine now lasts over a full day of gaming. But before used to last only about 6 hours!

So if you have any questions for a G700 owner, ask away (subbed) thumb.gif

Well i'm a CSS player so would the G700 be a bad choice?. What about the G500 vs the Deathadder?
My current G400's cord broke(common prob). I really wanted the Corsair M60, except the shape isn't suited for palming.
Also what other good fps palming mouses are there upto $85AUD(check prices here:http://www.staticice.com.au/)

In that case, the DeathAdder is the classic choice, you really can't go wrong with it.

The TT eSports Theron and a couple of the MS Sidewinders have also gotten praise among my FPS playing friends.
