I just recently quit WoW and sold my account but if someone enjoys something why rag them just because its not "up to par" or the best or whatever have you. So what they laid people off recently, they laid people off after BC and the game has been motoring along. Let him enjoy his game if he wants to, telling him he is dumb for enjoying it just makes you look ignorant for trying to sway his opinion by belittling him. thumb.gif

I'm well aware of that...I've actually worked on Blizzard's servers before and am well aware of the entire situation.

What boggles my mind is how much of a failure D3 is/was to the community...A MAJOR title in Blizzard's arsenal...Then Blizzard lays off the principal devs actually responsible for both WoW and D3...But, it's all hunky dory in panda-land because none of you actually knew about it.

Put up the blinders, much?

If I had stock in EA and SWTOR tanked...Then they fired the majority of the studio, including those that were responsible for KOTOR2...I wouldn't exactly be the first person in line for KOTOR3...There would be some serious reservations and I'd at least inform myself of those problems prior to given them my money.

This isn't an X vs Y hate fest...This is an educate yourself before you spend 40$ fest.

Like Fry said, if you're unwilling to educate yourselves, give them more money...I mean, they're hiring hardcore for Titan right now, some of you might even apply. thumb.gif

...huh?

Anyway, I'm glad WoW is still getting support. I stopped playing many years ago, but I really enjoyed the 2 years while it still felt 'new'. For a lot of casual people, it's a gateway into PC gaming. It's still the most-played MMORPG, and though for me it got boring after 2 years, millions of folk still enjoy it. If I had time, I'd totally try out Pandara smile.gif.

(...that said, Activision and Blizzard are certainly not my favorite companies *sigh*)

And you don't see a serious flaw in that entire scenario that actually JUST happened not but 2 weeks ago?

So what they had a bad launch... the game itself is still pretty good up until you start farming at 60. Even then its not a bad game it's just not anywhere near as good as other games of theirs. I still have hope between patches and xpac it will be a great game, one can hope.

Who did blizzard lay off? I haven't heard anything about that and all i get when I search for it is the peole from Febuary. In the end though Blizz makes games I enjoy and i"ll continue to play and buy them as long as that happens. I don't play wow anymore but it does still have 10 millionish people so its hardly going away anythimg soon and still relevant to the gaming comunity.

I never played Wow, got the battlechest some time ago but never went through with installing it. What would it cost me to get up to date with everything? Are there any deals? People seem to say it's pretty pricy to start playing it now since there are so many payed updates. I'm seriously thinking of trying the MMO of all MMO's as people like to put it while i pvp in GW2.

Why are you bringing up D3? It has nothing todo with WoW...
With Devs you mean Blizzard North or what? WoW has run along fine for a while now without them, i'll give you that its less fun then it used to be but thats just my opinion. Its still a good game and people like it, whats wrong with that?

I paid for a year sub to get my copy of D3. I'm excited for the xpac because wow hasn't changed at all since November. There is absolutely no reason for me to play it right now because I have full current pvp gear and have beat all the raids on normal. I'm not one to want to raid a lot anymore, so I love the raid browser and how casual the game has gone. Now just give me more content to continue enjoying it.
