Very misleading, That's the fastest I've seen it most of the time it's like your saying 2-3MB.
My upload is 6mb most of the time.

This is the fastest I can get and the upload speed sucks compared to other ISP's.

General question to the people complaining about upload speed, do you actually do something that needs it? I am just curious, me for example, i host a minecraft server and exchange server

Better if they just doubled the upload...

25mbps = 25 megabit (not byte) per second... 8 bits to a byte... so roughly 3.1 (as someone else stated).

Mb/s does not mean MB/s.

Not really misleading, it's been the "universal" unit of measure. There are 8 bits per byte, internet providers simply measure in megabits per second rather than megabytes. So, 25 mbps (megabits per second) would be divided by 8 to get 3.125 megabytes per second. I'd agree that megabits is an easier and more appealing unit to advertise with. Marketing is all mind tricks tongue.gif

Good times.

I just got mine the other day and im up in NH, maybe yours is in the works still

Yeah, right. Verizon doesn't have FIOS anywhere near us and, as far as I know, doesn't have any plans to change that in the near future, along with most of the Western US. That means that Comcast has no competition here and therefore no reason to improve our internet.
I don't expect to see any serious internet improvements in the West for a few years at least.

If you hear anything, though, let me know! wink.gif

The only way Internet will improve in the Midwest is if Google rolls out fibre to more cities. A lot more. And they probably knew that too, if they wanted faster service in these areas they'd need to install it themselves.
