I've had Comcast internet for 10 years, and honestly, their customer support people are as dumb as a box of rocks and I couldn't wait for Fios to come to town so I could switch. Been with FiOS for 4 years now, and have no desire to switch back.

What do you pay for that?

Just curious how Verizon compares. I pay $69/mo. for this

YAY just means you will hit that bandwidth cap just that much faster lol. Comcast reliability is really spotty where I live. You can get great service at one house but the next house down you will get crappy service cause of the moron out sourced techs that dont know what the hell they are doing. They are pretty much just following a follow chart it seems like some times. Plus the infrastructure here is kind out wore out, which is why Im glad we got a fiber provider came in a dropped a couple million to hook this place up with 100megabits down and 10 up for $60 when with comcast that gets you only 12 to 25 mbits.

Are you kidding? I'm tired of people saying things like this. Faster speeds means FASTER SPEEDS... Regardless of how fast you pull data, you're going to use the same amount of data. Comcast doesn't even enforce their data caps yet. Check their FAQ.

That and I just noticed it says they suspended the 250gb cap so I have no cap right now. I wonder why

So tired of people like this who don't read threads before they post stuff. There is no cap right now. I already said that earlier in the thread.

As far as techs go, yes they need a lot of work especially when you waste the customer's time with a bunch of crap techs before finally sending out an in house one.

We're moving to a tiered data system sort of how verizon does where the first x amount is x amount of dollars, then every x amount over that is another x amount of dollars.

To be precise, i don't know where I read it, but I believe we're going to start with a 300 GB cap, then every 100 GB over adds like 10 bucks to the bill or something close to that.

ahh +rep for explaining

And I have to get a new modem for the speeds according to comcast which is why I haven't been getting my new speeds. Atleast they arent charging me for swapping modems.
