Max PSU wattage needed for this build? - Page 3

after having what i finally figured out were power supply isses by what i thought were good power supplies... I have to agree with Pow3rtrIp.
especially if you want to overclock. While it seems like wasted money... I like saving money... I have read horror stories about others with poor power regulation.
That also applies in motherboard vrms. There is a section on ocn about it but the name excapes me. voltage regulation and v-drop can cause manjor issues.
Sorry im not a expert in these matters. I have just dealt with random reboots etc. that i thought were other hardware related till i replaced the power supply with a good one. This is a great power supply section. With a lot of dedicated people trying to help you out.

Either way I wish you luck and hope you are happy with your purchase.

Yeah, I went ahead, bit the bullet, and bought the Seasonic 12SII (or something like that) 520w psu. Its great!

Here are my numbers, and I don't have that i5 overclocked as far as yours would be:

Somewhat similar otherwise. I got under 300 Watts component power draw at max load (GPU and CPU). 2 more lists of numbers here:

(in this case, Prime wasn't run in Large FFT mode but more the default mode, albeit for a while).
