My old bios seemed to make my card throttle. Didn't like going over 1.4v even though it can.

This bios has no problems pushing 1.5v without throttling. I think it's a modded LN2 bios, I got it at MVKtech.

^^ Note that it only works on 2gb cards, 4gb cards will malfunction. Does he have a BIOS for 4gb cards?

Any hope of getting a NON throttling BIOS for the classies??? rolleyes.gif


Still testing my cards ... on the second one now ... pulled about 1400mhz so 1385 - 1405 ish stable with plus 500 on memory with the evbot set to 1.35v but power target gets to about 127% temps were great never really passing 60 , all tested in Heaven 3 ... second card looks to be about 20mhz or so better at the same voltages so far at 1.218v in evbot

Goto MVKtech.net and you can ask to have your bios personally modded. You'll have to upload your bios and post it there.

Nice, let us know if this works out supermi! Having a "good" BIOS for the classified would be a huge asset, since you wouldn't have to remove resistors on your cards....

Changing your BIOS doesn't do anything except change voltage / fan / overcurrent profiles. The 680 still has more shader units wink.gif Its entirely plausible that a different voltage profile will allow another card to operate at a higher speed. However, if a card is voltage locked a BIOS won't change it unless the card hardware allows.

ONLY cards with the CHIL voltage regular can pass the 1175mV limitation! So far that includes the lightning, Asus DC2, galaxy SOC. Gigabyte windforce cards use the reference VRM and can't pass 1175mV.

same here with higher then 1.40ish was flakey but if you push just right you can wing it.
I'v been looking around for a sub zero bios too for 2 months i must of missed it when i was there last.
