First you need to figure out your 100% stable overclock, you can ask over at MVKTech to have a custom bios made. This is what I did and now the cards run at 1165base and 1254boost I stayed a little below my stable overclock which was 1280MHz. It gave me 10 more FPS playing BF3, but I have the standard FTW 4GB if you could run it you would probably gain 15-20FPS.

can someone link the where i can download the zotac program that lets you save and flash bios's. I had to revert to a backup on my boot drive and now i cant find that chinese program anywhere. i swear i found the download on mvktech but i have searched with no luck

I found the Zotac Firestorm bios/overclocking program but i would like to have a save file of the original bios that i lost. If someone with a Ref. MSI gtx 680 could please post that bios much appreciation.

So let me get this straight, i just downloaded unlocked BIOS for 680DCII TOP, if i flesh to this BIOS i get voltage unlocked to 1.2+ and before i have 1.17 as max., or its 1.2 + as well but it does not show? in AB? thanks.

It will be ay 1.215 max unless since you got a 680 top you can do some king of mod that i dont know much about since i have MSI 680's myself but either route you choose is better than before with good cooling!

I got regular DCII but i guess they are same other then freq, but i didnt understand the part about voltage, do i get 1.2 during load now as well but i cant control it, or its 1.17 max? i'm asking this because i don't want to void my warranty for nothing, if i get 1.2 now but cant see it.

I successfully flashed my DCII TOP with LN2 bios from Lightning owners thread. Voltage readings went from 1.175v to 1.212 during load in Precision X, and it gave me about 50Mhz of overclocking headroom (from 1290 to 1345). Everything was buttery smooth, no stutter, boost clocks were pegged @ 1345 without any fluctuation under the load. The only thing is that during boot, fans were ramping up to 100%, which I found quite annoying. After logging into windows, precision x would take control of the fans and they would quiet down, but still, helluva loud fans during startup is not something I am willing to tolerate for 50 more megahertz. So I flashed my original bios back.

But other than fans, I haven't noticed any problems and did notice voltage increase.
