So just bought a filco off of eBay

As the title says. Then realised it was the US version and didn't want it. So getting a refund is going to be bummer as they locate themselves in London but they're actually in Hong Kong - Just started eBay need to check negative feedback before buying.

Anyway onto the point. This keyboard has MX Browns. Now I've had a steelseries 6GV2 and prefer the browns to blacks. Now I've read through the mechanical keyboard guide and I think I would prefer the browns to blues however they're basically the same right? Also is there a cheaper alternative to filco? I mean I do like the front printing on it as it almost makes it feel blank and I do prefer that.

On my 6GV2 the R broke and was insanely gamed on and smashed on in rage. The build quality was amazing. However the keycaps worn so easily. The W, A, S, D, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, B, Q and R lost its texture. I don't really want that to happen again. However I saw a video of someone shining a bright like through a Steel Series key cap and something else and you could see the light through the Steel Series cap and not the other.

Also typing on this keyboard now seems to hurt more than typing on a mechanical, and my wrists and fingers seem to fatigue from bottoming out the keys.

Thanks
BMorrisSly

EDIT: Would prefer a all black keyboard and preferably like the Filco on the front of the key cap although not a necessity. Cheaper the better - Although I will probably go with Filco because of the front keycap style.

Cooler Master CM Storm Quick Fire maybe? they look like great value for money. - they are made in the same factory as filco apparently.

Have a look on thekeyboardco.com you can get filco brown for 100 pounds.

Dunno why you don't like the US layout... I much prefer it I have US on my MacBook and ducky.

Blues are heavier and they also click.

Why the US layout? The enter key is smaller and the @ symbol is on the 2? Meh I'm not too bothered but UK version would be better considering they do it.
