Mindchill vs Krow: All-In-One Liquid Chiller Build Off! - Page 14

Are you using 8 singles daisy-chained or 4 of the duals ? Caselabs are sweet, I`m using an AZZA Fusion 4000 >

3 dual chillers daisy-chained, 2-165 watts, 2-150 and 2-195 watt.

I have eight single. I use to have four duals, they cooled less efficiently but had better flow than the singles.

i guess , the ( common ) part of a case was not understood ... , the Azza and the CS are NOT common cases , you know it lol

only Ibuypower and you bought THAT case lol , look all you have to do to have your chiller ... yeah ... not THAT practical it seems ...

no one is questioning the performance of the chiller or a Tec block , i just want to point out which one is the simplest solution

Chiller is much easier of course, but now you have a second case and some of them are a little on the noisy side. If you are not looking for any challenge and want to plug and play then go for it. thumb.gif

I never found satisfaction or fun with "easy" or "common"... To each his own I guess. thumb.gif

As for Caselabs, it's starting to be pretty damn common among enthusiasts. It's spread well into Europe, all over the Americas and some parts of Asia.

i know some people would like the challenge/extreme/obscure form of cooling , there is always one dude lol

...but then again , you want to "mainstream" this Tec thing ... it better be easy , its the same as back in the days the watercooling movement lol with garden hoses and tank pumps and custom made water blocks ... it was dificult back in the days , but ... as all , it evolved into what it is today ...

the same has to be done with this tec technology , make it simpler means more people exploring this Tec cooling , and as i was saying , the Direct Die Tec block is THE simplest , that was im trying to say

i would love to make something to help this "tec" movement , but all i can do right now is .... offer my services in Solidworks .. and maybe some money to fund something lol , im not going to invest in my PC right now so im waiting till hasswell , IF the performance is like 50% better than what i have now lol

Lucky bastard, here in crazy humid FL my dew point during the day is 12-13c indoors! Early in the morning when its dry and ~40*F in winter I can rock some 5-6c dew points, but they don't stay there for long. I had to insulate and run the block down to target 1c to make my TEC system perform acceptably better then top end watercooling. Single isn't really enough for a big OC'd IB though, it creeps up and can only hold the block at 7c when targeting 1c @ 4.7ghz/1.4v.

I will eventually switch to a chiller if I can find the time to design one with the footprint of a 360mm rad that I can mount on the top of my case in its place - I don't want a whole separate case just for cooling gear, and if I ditch my DD dual bay res I can fit two pumps in my drive bays.

**edit** On second thought, keep your low dew point - It's riding season year round down here and I'm getting my 14R ready for Bike Week next week so it's a fair trade off LOL!

Puck ! Now you`re hitting below the belt, Rog and I will have to ride down there and beat you with our chillers to within a centigrade of your life ! ( just kidding ) To me direct die is a misnomer, should be called direct IHS. This is for true water block direct die. >>> Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) waiting on two more Tec`s and two more blocks before I can think about assembling. biggrin.gif
