Mindchill vs Krow: All-In-One Liquid Chiller Build Off! - Page 6

If you want guaranteed above dew point, you will have to go with a controller like Mindchill's. Otherwise you run the risk of condensation at idle. I'm not sure how cheap is cheap, but you can just get the Arqtik SDD with http://arqtik.com/index.php/product/6-tscon-arqtik-single-tec-controller, just plug it in and go. You seem to already have everything that is needed to cool it. The controller will prevent condensation by measuring the humidity so you don't have to worry about it, and it's also able to achieve 4.6GHz overclock if you wanted it.

I'm quite interested in this too. Just wasn't sure if I had enough rad in my Switch either. I'd be up for the controller also as I'd want to stay just above dew point. Just not sure which block to go for, SDD or QDD. QDD does sound awesome though! However if I want to stay just above dew point maybe QDD is overkill and only SDD is necessary? Would an RX360 and RX240 be enough rad to deal with a TEC as as I understand it your dumping more heat into the loop because your cooling the TEC aswell?

I also have two 6950's in Parallel in my loop. At present nothings Overclocked, my 3570K is a warm one lol however I will OC the Processor and GPUs just might have to get another CPU until I find one that plays a little nicer. I need about 1.28v for 4.5GHz and temps are in the low 80's for Max Core even under my Custom Loop.

Also this is just something I'm considering atm, funds are tight, but TEC for good 24/7 Temps and OC is something I'm very much interested in now because of yourself Krow and Mindchill.

Any hint on what your water temps are on load? Might be able to predict the cold side temps of the block. Your core temps will still be much higher than this temperature though.

I honestly have no idea what they might be, I used to have some temperature probes installed on my Rad inlet and outlet sometime ago, but that was also when I was using Nehalem and didn't have the RX240. I still have a couple inline probes, just nothing than can give me a read out, I just literally last week I think sold my Lamptron Controller with temp readout.

I guess the only way is to buy a thermometer and dip it in the res?

Easy lad, it was a general statement not directed at you. If you read between the lines it sort of means that people should research a little beforehand. That way you will be better prepared and not ask questions that may be construed as a waste of time by others. You might also have started your own thread and that way you would be the main subject rather than jumping in on someone elses thread. Please read and learn from these forums as there is a lot of info, just take your time and don`t jump in. TEC`s are great but take a lot of time ,money, cooling and pre-organizing. Thanx for listening. helpinghand.gif
