Modding a case for H100 use (Dremel)

Thread Starter
The H100 will not fit in my case due to motherboard heatsinks. I'm going to upgrade to the Lian Li Lancool PC K62. From what I've read it's not a perfect fit. Wondering if anyone has ever done this (Or tried). Would it be possible to dremel out the grills on top, make holes for the H100 tubing, and put the grill back so that the rad can be mounted on top of the case? Just an idea smile.gif Very new to case modding.

Don't have the case yet so it would be hard to describe, but once I get it I'll draw up a diagram.

You could possibly mount it in the drive bays, or mount it under the top fans. There isn't really any extra room between the top exhaust fans and the top cover.

:edit:
I use the K62

OOOOOr you could get a NZXT 810 Switch.... no modding necessary!

The Lian Li K62 was $79, the switch is $169 lol. And I guess I knew there wasn't much room, so I was hoping to mod it to move the top to fix that. I sorta didn't have much time, as the $50 off was only for another 2 hours when I had ordered it. Kinda impulse.

It looks like you may be able to mount the fans on top and the radiator underneath and may still clear the ram and mobo......maybe...

I'd prolly do it the other way around, and put the fans underneath to clear the mobo. Because I can buy thinner fans.

Well I was going to buy the nzxt tempest too..
So I just added about $50 better value on it. Will require brackets or dremel work to get the h100 to mount correctly though.
