Good now California can accomplish so much more with all that extra tax money... oh wait, they seem to spend absolutely no tax money on anything but politicians pockets waaaaaaah QQ.

seriously tho, I live in San Francisco, one of the richest cities in the world.. and the roads are embarrassingly bad, they are closing major parks down in Sonoma (Jack London), the whole bay area. The construction (aside from private corporate facilities) is awful... where does all this tax money go?

Its kind of a hoot. Plus all the gays in san fran who are successful (which is quite a few) put almost no burden on the tax system by not having children, spending gratuitously, etc. I'm generalizing gays but in the end from an economic perspective, they are a plus for the economics of a city.

People complaining about taxes, where I live, the minimum tax for anything computer related is 25,5%.

Let me break it down.

I want to buy a new laptop, it's $1,000 in the states - I'll end up paying for exactly the same laptop at any local computer store about $1,500-1,700. I could order it by my self for about $1,300 but that would be without warranty.

This is however only for computer items, for headphones, it a different story due two different taxes. For $1,000 headphones, I'd have to pay exactly $2,006. For a $1,000 TV, I'd pay $2,220.
