should i sell my lens kit?

i got a canon 7d from best buy, i want to sell my lens kit 28-135mm to get me a better lens maybe a 50mm 1.4, my question is will that effect the warranty i got with best buy for 2 yrs on the camera??

Nope it won't. They will still take your 7D back and replace or fix it if they need to even if it didn't have the kit lens with it. If you feel like a fast prime would be more useful to you then the kit lens then go for it. thumb.gif

Sold my 15-85 that came with my 7D, brought a Sigma 30.

Have had the Sigma 30 for a few months now, have not taken it off. Its badass.

I say keep the Lens and save up for the 50mm f1.4 that way you still have some versatility with your camera. Being stuck at one focal length kinda sucks when you really need that extra reach or so.

problem is that the 28-135 is a horrible range for an aps-c camera. much better to buy a 50/1.4 (or 30/1.4 sigma) and a 18-55 kit lens from a rebel OR get a 17-50/17-55 2.8 and a 50/1.8.
