Nixeus Vue 27" H-IPS 2560x1440 LED Monitor (NX-VUE27) **USA BRAND** - Page 11

I wonder how soon people will receive these. Can't wait to see the review on these.

From the pictures in the OP this looks a lot like a rebranded Auria or w/e from microcenter (if that's a rebrand too) but with a fancier stand. Auria is EQD, which has a corporate office in Newport Beach, CA.

In the end, you can spend $30 on a monoprice stand for the same price as this niexus if you buy the Auria.

Nixeus have stated to the press and responded to my e-mails that it is not a re-brand of the Auria... the Auria is made from a different fractory - some parts such as the bezel may have been source from the same suppliers, but some of the listed Specifications are different than the Auria's. Someone has stated that EQD's Newport office maybe just a "Virtual Office" and not a real corporate office.

Also, if you don't live in New York or don't have a MC near your - you actually save money with no taxes and free shipping with the Nixeus Vue. thumb.gif

Anyhow, if this is shipping out of Nixeus' office - I might get it sooner since I live in Calif! biggrin.gif

Nixeus didn't ship out my monitor yet, so I was able to pick it up from their office!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The monitor box:

img20120823131928.jpg

NOTE: The box is HEAVY - heavy enough that the box's plastic handles broke while I was carrying the monitor to my car. Good thing I'm short so the drop was minimal. So be sure to carry it by holding the sides or carrying from the bottom.
Opening the box and taking out the contents, I found out the stand and stand base made up the bulk of the box's weight.

img20120823132203.jpg

The directions for installing the stand was not informative enough, but at least the screws are labeled so you know where they go:

img20120823150628.jpg

I'm using a display port 1.2 cable to connect the monitor to my Gigabyte Windforce GTX 670...
Running some tests - I did not find any dead or defective pixels and there was no back light bleeding... at least I couldn't find any:.

img20120823221350.jpg

Adjusting the height was fairly easy, but tilting it was kind of hard (at least it feels solid). I found out to swivel left or right that you had to hold on to the monitor shaft and twist left or right.

img20120823221422.jpg

Rotating it clockwise into portrait mode was fairly easy:

Playing Battlefield 3 in 2560x1440p I didn't notice any input lag and it did not affect my reaction time or gaming scores (K/D Ratio) - anyone that has played with me knows that I don't camp and I don't nade/noob tube spam! I always play FPS games with V-Sync OFF. As you can see, I play BF3 ALOT! (Feel free to add me on Battlelog):

I'm happy that I waited for the Nixeus Vue. It is definately worth upgrading from my i-INC 27" 1920x1200 Monitor...I would get another one but I would need to upgrade my desk first! cheers.gif
