when will they learn korean IPS screens will be irresistible if they make a tiny bezel like the IPS7

on a different note, i would like to know what an A panel is compared to an A- panel...

the question has been asked in the thread already, but no one has replied. i think no one knows the answer. these companies probably just make stuff up.

They have NCIX as their Canadian Authorized Re-Seller... maybe you can ask them if they will be selling it?

I've been researching and trying to find out... all this time I've been hoping a major brand/manufacturer rep trolling all these forums could shed some light - but none have made a peep about what their guidelines are for panel grades...

Closest I've found are ISO-9241-302, 303, 305, 307:2008 for pixel defects:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_9241#ISO-9241-302.2C_303.2C_305.2C_307:2008_pixel_defects

But the ISO standard still doesn't explain panel grade designations. mad.gif

They say this is A grade, which is better than A-, but by how much? Is there an A+ grade panel standard? I tried looking up panel grades, and found little-to-no information about them.
If the panel is glossy, as they say, I'd be happy with it. I prefer glossy screens to matte ones.
With all of the extra inputs, I'm assuming it will have an on-board scaler. Which is good, because you might have some extra connectivity, such as a game console/DVD player... But can also be a bad thing, depending on the amount of input lag introduced.
I'll definitely be watching this thread.

I'll e-mail Nixeus and find out since no one else can really shed some light... all we know is that A+ LG IPS grade panels are in Apple Cinema Displays and Dells that sell for about $900+ and A grade LCD panels are what most other brands use for their monitors.

Wow this is a breath of fresh air. I was really wanting a one of those Korean monitors to push my EVGA 680 SC to the max. But I was really turned off by the possibility of an rma back to Korea because of the A- panel. I just pre ordered mine through compuplus because of the 30 day exchange policy. And for $430 with free shipping and no taxes I could not pass this up. Now I'm just waiting for the 7990 to drop :DDD.

Woh that's a good price indeed, ***, and if it has warranty I will go to one or them

It does have a warranty but I'm not sure how long. http://www.compuplus.com/Monitor/Nixeus-Vue-WQHD-27inch-S-1218348.html just says it has one. But its better than shipping it back to Korea.

How much performance would I lose going from 1080 to 1440 on a 680?

This also uses LG's panel, right?

Bezel does look a little on the thick side.
