i left a message on their fb page regarding their warranty this is what they had to say

"thank-you for your comments and questions. We will repair/replace if these anomalies occur during the 1 year warranty period: more than 3 bright pixels, more than 3 colored pixels (staying on), or more than 5 dark pixels. Our defective pixel policy meets or exceeds the 2010 ISO standard for Class 1 LCD panels. We will also repair/replace if there is too much back light bleeding."

sounds descent to me what do you guys think???

"too much back light bleeding" sounds very much opinion based and I can anticipate this not working to the benefit of the consumer very often.

The pixel policy itself is good overall though. I'd order through amazon for whatever extra money they charge simply because of the no questions asked return policy. Say you want to return it, they give you a label.

"Where to buy"

Refers to any product that may be sold by the retailer of that brand. They may not sell every product a vendor has to offer.

I doubt Newegg will pick it up during introduction because;
1. it is a higher end product at a lower cost which may canabilize sales of their higher end product
2. product or brand with no reputation
3. availability of product.

Amazon is not selling it directly either

I agree with the canabilizing their higher end products in their stock - that may explain why there are so few sellers for the Nixeus Vue to begin with...

They have run out of their first shipment order. I pre-ordered one 2 days after the announcement so fortunately I will be getting one. I am sure they will be able to sell all that can be made but there will be competition over a limited number of panels so we may see the price increase when people relize they can get a 2560*1440(with an American warranty) without being gouged by the big boys. No doubt these are made by the same people that make the ones sold at Micro Center but with different electronics. Micro Center sells out quickly when ever they get a batch in. I live in Texas and have micro Centers' in both Houston and Dallas. I wanted a Display port when I purchased my next monitors and especially on 27" monitors. I should have mine in about 10 days.biggrin.gif

never knew they sold these on amazon o.O

These are fairly new to amazon, about 10 days ago. When I first saw them they were $388.99. I almost ordered one of them. Now they want more since they see that the Niexus is getting $70 more easily.

I just checked and it looks like they sold out the first shipment order - the orders from here on out will be shipped sometime in September. I ordered mines around the same time you did so I'll be getting it sometime next week and post back here.

There have been a lot of people saying that it is made by the place that made Microcenter's monitor, so I contacted them about it - Nixeus responded by saying it is not made by the same factory. Also their pixel policy is better than most other major USA brands including Apple's. I don't have tools to test it - I'm looking forward to AnandTech's extensive review, though. thumb.gif

I wonder if there is a non-glossy matte version? My computer is in a room with skylights, so I get massive glare during the daytime.
Also, only a 1-year warranty? I would prefer a 3-year warranty but that's probably expecting too much.
