Should I buy a 120hz monitor? - Page 11

Anyone excited about the 144Hz ASUS? I sure as hell am not.
? I will never buy another Asus monitor. I bought the Asus 120hz 27" and it was a piece of junk. While getting an RMA from Asus, the tech indicated they had multiple issues and returns.

For 120hz Samsung or BenQ is the way to go.

Not really honestly. 27" 1080p and "144hz" whatever.

Give me a 23-27" IPS 120 hz and two high powered video cards and I'll be xcited. until then my Planar 120 hz is the bees knees.

I am waiting for 120hz IPS (not the Catleap overclocking silliness) and I'll be happy.

Get a cheap used one. I did, used to have a Dell U2311H until I got a used 120Hz LG W2363D for cheap.

120Hz is great, but IPS also has some pretty significant advantages that I now miss!

...I've been thinking about getting a Korean monitor!...oh yeh...120 will make a big difference, you won't regret it and if you do...I'd be shocked!
Yes, only if you have used/seen one in person first...

I personally can't stand most of them.

While quite good in terms of picture reproduction, I'm partial to not recommend samsung if you do any competitive gaming. Input latency is a tad high for 120hz.

I love my 3 x Asus VG236H 23.0". I had to get Toasty's custom drivers to push 110Hz to my third monitor (Sapphire Vapor-X 7970Ghz can only send 120Hz through one of its DVI connections mad.gif )

IMO it is worth it. My eyes are much happier even when I'm just using the internet or typing a word document. thumb.gif

Yeah, I tried 120Hz vs IPS side-by-side and was shocked how smoothly the mouse cursor moved on my 120Hz monitor! The difference is huge, the 60Hz one skips so many cursor frames wheee.gif
