Yeah so i'm upgrading, it's long overdue but there's never much of a need to be honest. I'm a casual gamer.
I propose the AMD phenom ii x4 965 BE (which is at a great price at the moment while still keeping up with some more expensive CPUs).
Which mobo would you recommend? To be honest i don't want to spend a huge amount since i've been dishing out too much recently on various goods.
Currently i've got a GTX 275, some low end DDR2 RAM (2x2GB), an old pentium dual core E5200 (@ 2.87GHz) and an ASUS P5KPL-AM mobo. It runs games surprisingly well, however my CPU definitely is outdated.
I've been doing some research and there's a couple of £30-£40 AMD mobos that i would like some advice on. This system is most likely going to be a sort of dead end one, in other words when i upgrade after this again i'll be scraping the whole system.
I might buy some DDR3 RAM to go with it as well since i've heard it's much cheaper than it once was.

Could any kind person check the compatibility of the CPU and mobo aswell, i'm pretty sure they work together but there are downsides to buying cheap mobos ( bad cooling, bad overclocking abilities, not durable etc).
I wouldn't mind dibbling and dabbling in some overclocking too, nothing hardcore or potentially damaging, but to around 3.8GHz.
Cheers all, thanks for your time.
