PSU Mod complete. Everything is now practically dead silent. Just a small noise coming from my Corsair SP 120 QE which is being replaced soon and some very subtle noise from the HDDs. My pumps are almost dead silent running at 1200RPM; they only speed up to around 1800RPM under heavy loads, even then they are very quiet.

After I replace the top 120mm with the NF-F12 I will be finishing my 5.25 cover mods. I need to get some sound isolating foam to keep the noise from my HDD cage down (the thin aluminium of the covers wont dampen this noise).

So I decided I would finish up my 5.25 bay covers today.

I found some medium density foam that came as a protective casing to one of my tools. Its about a half inch thick, cut it to fit nice and snug in the empty bay area and cut out a small area for the pump to fit through. The foam is to help dampen hard disk noise and also serve as a form of pressure mount for the bay covers. All I did for the bay covers was cut the brackets to half an inch on both sides, filed them nice and smooth, and pressed them in between the 5.25 bay and the foam. For the very bottom bay cover; I filled the cavity with some quarter inch 3M felt stripping that I packed nice and tight in there. This is so to help dampen any noise from my pumps coming through the cutout I made.

Whelp, I would say I'm now 99% done with this project. All I have left to do is expand the window to show off all my hard work, and to make a cover plate to smooth out the hot swap bay I made.

On a side note: I really need a camera and tripod to take some real pictures. Phone cameras only go so far......

I will probably also be upgrading graphics cards this year after Maxwell comes out. I will probably go SLI and upgrade my monitors to G-Sync capable ones.
