Anyone have the S23A700D? - Page 2

I have one too, its a superb monitor. It uses the same screen as the 750d if your looking for more information, it just has a different stand and dvi-d instead of display port.

Bezels are pretty slim, slimmest I've ever had.

The only problem your going to run into is not having enough GPU power for most newer FPS games to run at 120fps with the resolution of 3 of them.
Also note that this is a Tridef3d monitor, you will not get 3D on your GTX 580 without a lot of hacking and tweaking. You may be better off with the Asus VG276 if you care at all about 3D, however, it has considerably bigger bezels and costs more. I haven't gotten the 3d to work well, only played with it for about 30mins though. The glasses do not have a rechargeable batter either.
The stand could be better, does not have any height adjustment. With that said, I do find the monitor is too low for my taste with my setup, so I will be building/buying something to put it on.
If you end up getting these, dont be like all the other yahoos that say the touch screen controls are crap, they work amazingly well. They are designed to be used with the side of your finder as you touch the bottom of the bezel, they are not push touch buttons lol.

To be honest, I couldnt care less about 3D. It gives me a headache and I cant even see it, so meh.. I am only looking to get it because it is 120 Hz small bezels and 2ms response thumb.gif

Sounds like a great fit for you then! thumb.gif

I didnt care about 3D at all either, I hate 3D movies. This monitor came with the glasses and I happen to have an AMD card, so I want to try it in gaming just to see if its any different. So far its completely fail lol.

Sorry for delay. Forget this thread lol. Anyway here's some pics of just how thin the bezels are.

Why is the 3D a complete fail? I've had no problems with 3D gaming on this monitor. Like i said some games work better than others but on the whole i am very impressed. I just start tridef (the samsung version), pick a game from the list and start it. Works great.

Brightness - 100
Contrast - 85
Sharpness - 60
Response time - Faster

I also just set Magic Angle to Group View as this gives me the richest colours while gaming and watching a film. Also looks good for general use. The odd game is slightly too dark at night in game but i usually find just upping the ingame gamma settings a notch does the trick.

Magic Bright has a decent game setting but i find it too bright for general use. Both Magic Bright and Magic Colour get disabled automatically when Magic Angle is in use.

I tried a few times to use the custom settings for Magic Brightness and Colour but while i could find a nice set up for gaming it i couldn't get it right overall. But no matter as the Magic Angle setting works great so i just leave it that now.

Gamma and colour tone settings are disabled when Magic Angle is activated. So for me they are both greyed out.
