Catleap worth the risk? - Page 3

Not to get one? Then go waste your money.

You can get dead pixels with any companies monitor. Pixel perfect is just a way not to have to worry about it.

Good question, They don't make 'em much anymore. I think they will be reintroducing them later due to the high demand. Check out 120hz.com for more news.

I personally couldn't care less for 120Hz. The PQ on these Koreans make my eyes jizz every-time i turn em on. And I am very picky about PQ.

QFT. And with such a pixel dense screen, they can be hard to find for non perfect pixel ones.

I'd say no if you demand perfection, yes if you can deal with a factory second panel. And this goes for all cheap Korean monitors as well. If the pixels are perfect (which all of mine have been) then the backlight will be bleeding, or a layer will be tinted or some other flaw which accounts for it being sold so cheap.

I can't go back to non IPS 1080p monitors anymore.
I have a 1080p IPS panel and its just as good as a 27 inch iMac tbh I will compare when I get my 3 catleaps biggrin.gif

If he demands only perfection he wouldn't be asking if Catleaps are 'worth it'. Hence, Catleaps are worth it.

I doubt that, if we are talking about a 27 inch 1080p IPS. A 2560 x 1440 will stomp on 1080p.

There is no need to be so aggressive about it. There are plenty of reasons not to buy a Catleap, and it's not something people should be pressured to do - if you don't feel you could handle a display with certain potential issues, then I would highly recommend not buying one, as there is an element of risk involved.
