I ask because it doesnt say it per say, but then in there accessories to add on, the 35x is listed. If that doesnt fit, what one of that style would?

It will fit a MCP35x pump just fine. The shape is the same as the 350/355 pumps.

cool, thank you. Do you see in their picture the inlet and outlet are right above each other. Do you know if i can rotate the res around so the inlet and outlet face opposite directions

You should be able to rotate it 180 degrees and it should work.

It'll also insta void his warranty.

OP, just get the smaller cylinder res and connect it directly to the inlet of the 35x with a rotary coupler like the one made by Enzotech. This will not force you to remove the top, saving your warranty.

you say that now, but when when you run the pump upside down and above the res, you'll be sorry later on

I would not recommend the idea, as that would involve loosening the two acetyl pieces that join the pump top and reservoir together putting you at risk of additional leaks. Not to mention the possible leaks developing at the acrylic threading (EK issues). Also, this particular reservoir-top has issues with bleeding air due to a cyclone effect that can easily draw air from the reservoir's top back into the pump.

What you want can easily be done with a single male-to-male rotary/swivel fitting between the reservoir outlet and pump inlet, which can allow you to spin the pump/reservoir into the desired directions. Just would have to look around a bit for the reservoir and fitting that fits your build.
