Switching from Cable to Internet TV - Page 2

you can get an AppleTV.
if you can find a used ATV2 you can jailbreak it with xbmc. (ATV3 doesnt have jb yet)

I also made the switch and setup a HTPC in the living room, and a ATV in the bedroom.

Did a little searching and it seems like this Netgear NeoTV is a pretty good deal.

Just an update for anyone else interested in this.
The NeoTV I linked to above doesn't support DLNA, so it's useless for anyone wanting to use Playon.

I'm currently trying to find the cheapest device that supports DLNA and will update this thread with the results. wink.gif

I didn't do extensive research, but here is the cheapest set top box with DLNA support that I found.
Sony SMP-N200

It should be a decent box, but don't expect too much if you're interested in this, it won't be as high quality as some of the more expensive boxes. It supports DLNA and will output in 1080p, though, and that's good enough for me. wink.gif
Although, I read that the interface isn't all that great, hopefully that won't be a problem.

It costs $50 (USD) + tax on Sony's website, you can also get it for $48 on Amazon:
