SLI Option Unavailable

Thread Starter
Hi, I recently finished building my computer, and I have had problems with the SLI option. I own two GTX 260's, one Gigabyte and one nVidia. When I try SLIing it doesn't show up on the nVidia control panel. I have tried different SLI bridges, I have tried reseating the cards, I have tried re-installing the cards, but nothing has worked. All of my computer parts are compatible, and my mother board even supports 4-way SLI. The cards work fine, they both show up as being there, but there is no option to turn on sli or turn off sli. Can anyone help?

The GTX 260 came in different revisions... AFAIK the 216 core version couldn't sli with the 192 core version.

Could you get me the P/N of both GPUs and write them down here?

I hate to bump, but I have gone a few days without a reply...

As regarding my 260's both of them have the same specs. 192 cuda cores, and 856mb of memory. The only difference is the clock speeds, which should change to the same speeds when I SLI. I thought it was my PSU for a while because it broke after a week of use, but it wasn't when I got my replacement for it.

Have you tried looking in the BIOS to see if there are any settings that you have to enable?

I believe I had minor driver issues back when I SLI'd 260;s. I reinstalled the drivers and then everything was fine, maybe give that a go.

Yea, someone suggested that to me before I posted, it still didn't work. I tried from the CD, then tried from the site, then uninstalled completley then tried again. I will check the BIOS in a min, but I am positive there is no option to enable.
