Hey, not sure if this is the right section but here goes..

I Recently built a PC and whenever I boot it up the fans willl start to spin etc, and a few seconds later thos whole thing will shut down and then restart, from then on it's fine.

Any ideas why this happens?

Specs are:

750w antec truepower psu
z77x ud3h gigabyte
16gb corsair LP
HAF X Case
i7 3770k 128gb crucial m4
NH-D14 Cooler
3tb sata 3
640gb sata 2

No GPU yet waiting another week, using on board graphics.

Thanks in advance.

Last time I encountered that I forgot to plug in all the power connections on the motherboard. Do you have a post screen at all, or error codes at the motherboard?

What's a post screen? The motherboard displays a little letter/number sometimes you can see it through the side window, can't recall what the number or letters are now as I'm at work but will look into it tonight.

POST screen is all the stuff you first see on your display before you boot into an operating system. Memory devices, hard drives and so on.

The letters and/or numbers the motherboard displays is an error code. It means something is wrong, and the translation of error codes can be found in your manual.

Refer to the manual, find the error and report back and I'll continue to assist smile.gif
